PRESS RELEASE - GOLDEN, CO (November 9, 2011) -- The Bradford Washburn American Mountaineering Museum today announced a call for entries for the 3rd annual Environmental Photography Exhibition in Golden, Colorado. The show will be held at the American Mountaineering Center in conjunction with the Colorado Environmental Film Festival, beginning February 23, 2012. All photographers are encouraged to submit their work by December 31st.

This year’s exhibition will be juried by National Geographic senior photo editor Kim Hubbard, Photo Technique magazine editor Wendy Erickson, and award-winning environmental photographer Stephen Weaver

“We are honored to have such a well-rounded and highly-respected trio of jurors for this year’s exhibition,” said museum director Shelby Arnold. “Now in its third year, the 2012 Environmental Photography Exhibition is drawing attention from regional, national and international audiences in the environmental and photography industries.”

Thirty images will be selected and displayed at the American Mountaineering Center during a six-week exhibition, beginning the weekend of the Colorado Environmental Film Festival (www.ceff.net). A $30 entry fee permits three photo submissions, with a $10 charge for additional entries. Best in show will be awarded $500.

From avant-garde to traditional perspectives, the Environmental Photography Exhibition hopes to represent the shared vision of world communities that are concerned about environmental issues.
